Women's Ministry
The purpose of the Women's Ministry is to support women and young adult ladies in their relationship with God so that through spiritual friendships, mentoring, modeling, and teaching one another, we might experience the freedom to become all that God intends us to be. You are invited to participate in the various expressions of this important ministry.
Our ministry is based on certain non-negotiable values that form a foundation and criteria for all that we do. >We provide Christ-centered ministries.
>We strive for excellence in all we do.
>We practice faithful stewardship.
>We are relevant for women today.
>We assure that our diversity (clergy/lay, age, geographic, and racial/ethnic representation) as a denomination is represented in our ministries.
>We affirm and encourage the use of spiritual gifts.
>We recognize the worth of all women and girls.
>We value our church family relationships.
Our Women's Ministry exists to provide opportunities where women can grow in their walk with Christ, cultivate meaningful relationships with other women, and fulfill our church mission of "influencing people to find and follow Jesus." If you're looking for a place to meet new friends, have fun and grow in your walk with the Lord, we have a place for you.
As like the Deacons, the Deaconess are appointed by the Pastor through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The members of this ministry serve under the leadership and spiritual direction of the Pastor and are loyal to him and the church in prayer, support, encouragement, and fellowship. The ordinances of the Baptist Church are Holy Communion and Baptism, which are two of the chief duties of the Deaconess Ministry that they assist. Consistent connection between the Pastor and members is key to growth, peace and harmony within the church and the ministry accomplishes this goal through the direction of our Shepherd. This type of congregational ministry connects each individual and family member of the church with a Deaconess and serves as an adjunct to the Pastorate, aiding in counseling and support of the entire membership.
The Deaconesses Ministry of RoFCMBC is to assist the Pastor in developing the spiritual life of the women and girls of the Church and assisting in the preparation and administering of the ordinances of the Church.
The ministry is focused on our commitment to serving to be a Servant for the Kingdom of God as the Holy Spirit directs.
Some of our Goals & Objectives (to be per approved by the Pastor) are: * To minister to females, children, and those in distress * To visit and commune the sick and help as needed * To prepare female candidates for baptism * To participate in church ministries * To diligently study God's Word * To follow the Strategic Plan
1Now I introduce and commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess (servant) of the church at Cenchrea,
2 that you may receive her in the Lord [with love and hospitality], as God's people ought to receive one another. And that you may help her in whatever matter she may require assistance from you, for she has been a helper of many, including myself.
3 Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus,
